Gift of the Magi
Meet Gift of the Magi, our 2018 holiday soap!
As I studied the Christmas story, I was drawn to the gifts the wise men brought. They traveled a great distance to bring Jesus several gifts... Gold + Frankincense + Myrrh. But why? I soon discovered their gifts held deep meaning and were symbolic for what He would face in the coming years of his life. The gold represented his kingship (as foretold in Isaiah 60:6), the frankincense was a symbol of his priestly role, and the myrrh a prefiguring of his death and embalming.
This season, I crafted a bar with a blend of Frank + Myrrh and swirled it with gold as a reminder of what it’s truly about...Christ and his gift to us.
